friday fun: nooks and crannies

one of the things i most enjoy about holiday adventuring is exploring the nooks and crannies of the back streets.

this week, i made a brief visit to marrakech. the route from the riad where i was staying to the main square is essentially a warren of the most amazing alleys and souks…

… and at nearly every turn, ornate doorways beckon you in to see what lies behind.

where will you go adventuring this weekend??

happy friday!

  2. Did you eat at the central market place? I hear it’s pretty amazing.

    • we ate in a couple of spots around the square, which were sooooo yum (i had a particularly tasty rabbit, onion and raisin tagine one night), but were warned off eating from the market vendors by locals. apparently, our stomachs might not have coped. clearly they don’t know my stomach(s)!!

  3. Gorgeous shots!! I totally agree – the back streets always have the most to show and share!!

  4. Wow, really gorgeous photos. I’ve really become a fan of a bunch of photo blogs here at WordPress. Thanks!
